Substitute Teachers
Substitute Teachers play a vital role in the education of our children. When the classroom teacher is away, education must continue. Principals and administrators go to the sub list first when they have a need to fill a vacant position. Start subbing today. You will gain recognition as a professional.

Pennsylvania Certified Teachers
If you have all of the following information, including the PA State Teachers Application, bring it with you to the Job Fair and we will sign you up on the spot!

•  Your PA Teaching Certificate
• Pennsylvania Criminal Records Check +
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History +
• FBI Criminal History Record +
• Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray that is less than 3 months old.
• Current Resume
• 3 professional letters of recommendation
• A PA Act 168 Form for all current and past employers where you had direct contact with children including telephone, fax numbers or contact email address (Link)
• Bank routing and account number for direct deposit
• 2 valid forms of identification (1 must be a photo id). For example:
  • Photo Drivers license or photo ID and Social Security Card
  • Photo Drivers license or photo ID and Birth Certificate
  • Passport (no other proof is required)
• A valid, working personal email address (required to complete registration)

Guest Teacher Program
Not a PA Certified Teacher? Looking to consider a career in education? Do you like working with children? You can become a substitute Guest Teacher. This program is designed to give you the opportunity to provide continuous educational goals in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You can test the waters to see if this is for you!

You will need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in order to participate. STS will provide you with all of the necessary training in order to help you succeed. You will also need to have all of the following.

•  Your PA Teaching Certificate
• Pennsylvania Criminal Records Check +
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History +
• FBI Criminal History Record +
• Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray that is less than 2 years old
• Current Resume
• 3 professional letters of recommendation
